Excuse me now, as I slip into the third person and offer you a brief biography:
Colette Maitland has published in The Antigonish Review, Pottersfield Portfolio, Descant, Room, The Nashwaak Review, Wascana Review, The Prairie Journal, Freefall, The Puritan, The Fiddlehead, Event, The Humber Literary Review, The Windsor Review, Canadian Notes & Queries, and frequently in The New Quarterly.
Keeping the Peace, a collection of short stories, was published by Biblioasis in May, 2013, and was long-listed for the 2013 Frank O’Connor International Short Story Award. It was also short-listed for the 2014 Relit Awards in the category of short fiction.
Riel Street, a novel, was published by Frontenac House in June, 2014. It was short-listed for a 2015 Alberta Book Publishing Award in the category of Trade Fiction Book. Also in 2015, The Leacock Associates included Riel Street in its Summer Reading List (ranked in the Top 20, excluding Longlist, Shortlist and Winner of The Leacock Medal for Humour for that year).
